Agreed. In addition, Flans sings the song on the Power of DAS. Interesting
to note that originally the song was not a ballad as it is now, but a peppy
little number with Flans playing the melody on his guitar as he sings. I
think I like the Live in NY version best tho.

CBS has a web site at www.cbs.com, I would think there would be a place
somewhere to e-mail CBS. How about TMBG as musical guests on Saturday Night
Live. It could only make the show watchable. Heck, let's shoot to have
Them host the show.:-)

I was sitting at home a few days ago, feeling rather dejected because
I was at home, my girlfriend was 8 hours north of me, and most of my
friends down home were busy... I put on Flood and called up my girlfriend,
knowing that my mood probably wouldn't improve... After awhile, I had to leave,
so I hung up the phone and turned the stereo back up just in time for Road
Movie to Berlin to come on. What beautiful songwriting! As I lay back
listening to the lyrics, I suddenly felt better and at ease with myself!
It was wonderful! Thank you, TMBG, for making my life better!

I think Trent would have to get something about "hate" or lack of God in

Saturday Night Live? heh.
I mean, why haven't They been on there yet? It's not like Their
GODS or anything, or like they live in NY. SNL has had some terrible
bands on there (the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, for one). Why not TMBG?!
Dear Rabbit Ears, find that address and we will FLOOD SNL's e'mail (if
there is one) with threats, requests, pleas, and bribes. Get New York's
own on the show! We must! IT IS OUR DESTINY!

Ha. No, the person who played the part of Weird Al was Weird Al. In the
credits, it looked like this:
Weird Al.................Weird Al
and enough with the masterbation. sheesh. I might as well write a
composition in cream and chocloate, or something, if that's how you're
going to be.

Well, I shall add my response also. I think I remember hearing that at
concerts Flans used to switch between the guitar and a small drum set. I
also remember hearing (I think) that one of them plays the ukulele, and I
think I remember hearing it was Linnell, although that seems wrong. Just

Actually, it's Tony Maimone who pulls out the ol' ukelele for Extra
Savoir Faire. I've also seen Brian Doherty play the glockenspiel
(spelling?) on Why Does The Sun Shine? and Shoehorn with teeth. Speaking
of Why Does The Sun Shine?, does anyone remember when they used to add
punch lines to the song? My favorite was "hydrogen, helium, and wood."
