Okay, people, I had a few, too. More than one. There was this one where I was in a big room talking to Bill Gates and he looked slightly evil (was this out of the odinary?). Then, the next thing I know, I'm tied up in a chair. I look up to see who's standing in front of me and, low and behold, it's the Johns! I say, "Was goin' on, here?" and so Flansburgh just starts laughing. And I notice they have weird smiles and their eyes are glowing red and in general, I guess they just plain looked evil! And Flansburgh (this is where it gets weird!) says, "We can't have you making trouble of our list (the e-list)." With that, Linnell chuckles and his mouth grows SUPER huge, and he steps closer to me and opens his mouth. Then the #@&* bites my *@#& head off!!! And so then, he spits it out on the floor, but my point of view is still where my head used to be. So Flansburgh keeps on rambling in the general direction of my bloody neck, an all of a sudden the ropes break and I'm free. So I take out my uzi (it's the first time in the dream I noticed I had one), picked up my head, put it on, and blew their evil asses away!!! There was another dream, but all it was, was a TMBG concert where They were lip-sinching songs by OTHER people. A it was weird, because in the dream, I was thinking it was really Them singing. One of the johns mentioned either before or after the show that they planned on having it on their next album. Well as you all know it wasn't on severe tire damage, but i just heard a radio appearance last night on 103.5 the EDGE and Linnel mentioned that there was another album in the works right before they played OLDER...has anyone else heard of this??? has anyone else heard Kumbaya anywhere else?? However, if you happen to be adept at html programming, you can make an html file that will play the vivo file for you. I'm not great at html programming myself, but I do have an html file that plays it for me. Someone had posted the html needed, and all I had to do was tweak it a bit. If anyone's interested in the file, email me off the list, and I'll email it to you. Or, perhaps, the original author of the html file will repost it. Have fun. Well, I listed below what I have up so far. Check it out. If there's anything you would like to hear or download, just go to http://www.thespeakeasy.com/augiewan/ These songs are NOT MP3's. Sorry, but there's way too much crap going down on the nice people that post MP3's. I have converted them all to the newest Real Audio codex. Its actually a very good quality codex. The files are not streaming. You download them and then listen to them. Have fun. I'll be adding more soon. Oh, and I'll take requests! The following are available now.... 25 O'clock - Cover of the Dukes of Stratosphere, aka XTC. From the XTC tribute CD. Always Coca-Cola - This was a great little radio commercial they did for airing in the NY locality. Rumor has it that Flansburgh actually made it by himself. Cabbagetown (Dial-A-Song) - The second Dial-A-Song I ever recorded, the first was WeepDay, but everyone has a good recording of that one by now. The regular version was available on the "I Palindrome I" EP. This version has some alternate lyrics. Christmas Cards - This is from the now infamous 7" single They put out a few years back. Free Bird (fine girl) (Dial-A-Song) Free Bird (poor boy) (Dial-A-Song) - These were both taken from Dial-A-Song. I recorded one and I found the other on the Internet. Two different versions. This tune was eventually released as "I Blame You" with different lyrics. Hotel Detective (She Was A) - From the ever-popular Demo Tape, originally released in 1985 and re-released as a Hello Records give-away. Istanbul (Park Slope Mix) - No, I don't actually own this 12" record. I wish I did! I tracked this down on an FTP site awhile back. Istanbul was originally sung by The Four Lads. Stormy Pinkness (Dial-A-Song) - From Dial-A-Song. One of the very first Dial-A-Song's I ever taped. Everyone thought I was nuts for taping these off the phone. :) They Might Be Giants - From the ever-popular Demo Tape, originally released in 1985 and re-released as a Hello Records give-away. Your Racist Friend - Live on the David Letterman Show. I'm guessing that the reason you haven't seen them yet is that they don't play near you, well buy a bus ticket or find a ride or even drive yourself, cause i'm telling you man...It is worth it!! This is Green Jello's grandfather in Siberia. This is to let the list know, just a few minutes ago my grandson Brother John Green Jello was killed in a horrible accident involving a hit and run car. The driver was noticed to a seven year old kid. I'm really broken up by this but took time at the hospital to log on to their network and send this to you. Green Jello handed me this address right as he died and said that even though I know nothing about the Internet and email, I should do it immediately... Actually this is a joke! Example: back in May when Ben Folds Five was on & they asked a caller to request a song, he requested Brick, & after they said they wouldn't play it, he didn't know any other songs & hesitated, finally saying "uh.... what was the name of your first song?
