Jamie Lee Curtis' book is *NOT* illustrated by the same Laura Cantrell (heh, i figured asking him was a good idea cuz well... she sings with him on his album. And at the d-town show i asked him about her and her work he seemed to be in the know). some other fun stuff... >I got some pictures of you & my band, I lost 15 pounds since then! Flansburgh will hook up with the band next week in New York to shoot a video for "Private Helicopter," the band's second single from its album "Where Have All The Merrymakers Gone?" The band, and Flansburgh, will shoot the video at various spots in and around the city on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, and yes, they will be using a helicopter as part of the shoot. The video shoot comes during the first break that the band has had after several months of touring with the likes of Semisonic, Grant Lee Buffalo, and Creeper Lagoon. The band has no tour plans on the horizon, but may soon have more dates lined up. >> -- /=---------------- http://www.he-man.org/ctyner/ ----------------=\ http://www.crystal-night.com/~ctyner/ http://www.awod.com/gallery/rwav/ctyner/ He-Man, "Weird Al", Yoo-hoo, Killer Tomatoes, Tuscadero, & more! ------------------------------ From: Phil Jackson Message-Id: <199810191531.LAA17037@angels.heaven.net> Subject: TMBG: Steve Seck Date: Mon, 19 Oct 1998 11:30:25 -0400 Is there a steve seck out there?? if there is please get in touch with me as soon as possible, thanks.. ~Eric "Action" Jackson~ My Bootleg page and TMBG worship site Http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Underground/4117 [Attachment omitted, unknown MIME type or encoding (text/html)] ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 19 Oct 1998 09:48:16 -0600 (MDT) From: Jim Kuemmerle Subject: NON-TMBG: hamlet Message-ID: On Sun, 18 Oct 1998 gray42@juno.com wrote: > >were 43, not counting jason, and they included such luminaries as > >hercules, theseus, atalanta, castor, pollux, orpheus, laertes (the > >father of odysseus), > > hehe, isn't Laertes also the sun of Polonius, and brother to Ophelia. :P that's prolly the whole reason his name caught my eye. i looked him up and found out that he did have some importance after all... --jim kuemmerle, pouring the poison in my ear... j.kuemmerle@m.cc.utah.edu http://www.geocities.com/soho/gallery/4668/ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 13 Oct 1998 16:22:54 -0400 Subject: Re: TMBG: Who Here is Uptighy? It was so obvious from the very beginning, I mean come on, Toddler Hiway? The Day? It was very clear that the John's were out to dominate the airwaves. I can just hear them talking about their strategy now, "Yeah, we'll make the most radio-UNfriendly music around and that will guarantee us monetary success.." It was all reverse psychology! We've been duped! Here, we thought we were all listening to a band that really just wanted to make music on their own terms, and they were secretly just trying to become popular. Well, I'll tell you, I just can't take it any more! I'm never going to listen to them again!!!! No wait! That would mean I was playing in to their game... Hmmm, I better just keep buying their albums and going to their concerts. I wouldn't want to tip the scales of this mind game they're playing! Oh, by the way, since everyone's been talking about "Live in NY", I decided to post the whole thing at my site. Have fun... http://www.thespeakeasy.com/augiewan AugieWan ------------------------------ From: gray42@juno.com Date: Mon, 19 Oct 1998 19:46:49 -0400 Subject: TMBG: 4 of 2 interps Message-ID: <19981019.194705.3622.0.gray42@juno.com> OK, I bet a good percentage of people on this list also enjoy the coincidence of this song. The title seems to remind me of a certain book, um, an answer to a certain question *hint hint* Authors initials = DNA, hehe now I'm being obvious. But of course vyou could imagine my coincidental excitement as I rushed to the dial-a-song page. Well I listened, and are John and John familiar with the improbability drive? The world may NEVER know. Well after hearing this Fantastic song, I had the burning desire to interperet it. * ------------------------------------------------------------------- WARNING SONG SPOILER--DO NOT READ ON IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ ABOUT THE SONG BEFORE YOU LISTEN TO IT--------------------------- * ------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, I listened to this song with great difficulty (loud people in the room holding a conversation) and probably misheard a lot of lyrics. I saw the song as a sort of "Ground Hog Day" and a bit like robot work. Maybe a stressed worker. This guy's obviously going insane because the clock ALWAYS reads 1:56 or 4 0f 2. And since time is perfectly still, the world around him doesn't move. And at the end he can't cope with this unmoving craziness, and finally comits suicide, and it's still 4 of 2. Anybody else have any interpretations, anyone else think that J & J might be Hitchhikers fans, I mean, they could've picked any other numbers, but they chose 4 of 2 Mysterio Gal (typos are like salivating at the mouth) "Ugh ugh ugh grrrrrr ugh." --Caveman MST3K#88182 gray42@juno.com http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Coffeehouse/4871 The Official Project Omicrom website: www.geocities.com/SoHo/Square/9007 ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. At 4 of 2 I was staring into space I had to move, there were things I had to do I wasn't really doing anything I was standing around and I looked at the clock And the clock said 4 of 2 I was late, my appointment was at 2 With a beautiful girl I had met the night before I would tell her I was in love with her But I still hadn't moved And I looked at the clock And it still said 4 of 2 When I'm late it makes me feel upset When I'm upset I might do something rash Like stare at the wall and grind my teeth Which is just what I did, though I really had to leave And the clock said 4 of 2 At 4 of 2, I had a great idea To break the chain of inactivity I put my hands around my neck And started to strangle myself And I looked at the clock And it still said 4 of 2 At 4 of 2 I successfully expired and My breathing ceased and my heart no longer beat My eyes stayed open, lifelessly They continued to stare at the clock on the wall They continued to stare at the clock on the wall And it still said 4 of 2 take it easy, JOrdaN http://www2.netcom.com/~arnot/joda/bootlegs.html ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
