They're playing at The Garage, which holds around 500, is that a fairly small venue for the Giants to play or is that about usual? What sort of shows can we expect? I'm also aiming to go to both shows. I've suggested on this list trying to get together beforehand and I've also suggesting that some of our American friends might like to come over! I'm talking to Cooking Vinyl (their record company in the UK) to try and find out what they are doing between 18th and 23rd. I am also trying to find out what TV and radio they will be doing. The friendly lady in publicity at C.V. is trying to find this information out for me. I'll post anything I find out to the list 500 may be a small venue compared with the places they play in the UK but they haven't played here for many years. At least they are playing in the UK. By the way tickets are #9.00. Kev ----- End of forwarded message from Pickstock, Kevin ----- I would say 500 isn't too bad for an audience as far as TMBG goes. The 9:30 Club in DC usually holds about 900 or so, but they also play a lot of colleges whose auditoriums are lucky to hold 500. Places like the Mercury Lounge in NYC surely don't hold 500 but they play there all the time as well. I'll be missing TMBG by 2 weeks in London! And is there any chance the long-awaited Miscellaneous T-like >>collection of Elektra B-Sides will come out of limbo? Actually, production for _Superfueled Freaksicle_ has been moved from Limbo to Pergatory. Seriously, though, I heard that the Johns had obtained the rights to Their Elektra B-sides. This would seem to indicate that the collection is forthcoming (although possibly not for a long time), unless the Johns just obtained the songs to stop Elektra from releasing a compilation, or are planning to sell the songs to the Arch-Demons of Shangrilantis in exchange for eternal life, or something like that. -- May you live in interesting times, Nathan DinnerBell@tmbg.org http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Corridor/5447/ ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Message-ID: <19981203182228.16654.qmail@hotmail.com> From: "Todd Wetherbee" Subject: Re: (Kinda) TMBG: Mono Puff Date: Thu, 03 Dec 1998 10:22:28 PST >>Hello to everyone out there.
