I figure I might as well place my opinions on these topics which will no doubt shape the future in ways we can only begin to imagine. * Fingertips Hmm, I think that my favorite Fingertip would have to be "I'm having a heart attack". It's also one of the few I could easily see becoming full TMBG songs. I can see everyone become one, but I only have lyric ideas for a few of them. * John & John I think I am going to have to be a Linnel supporter here. I have nothing against Flans, but I see my self as being much more Linnel like. I can't say that I'm quite as thin as him, but other than that I think we have fairly similar personalities. Shy, a little dark(but not depressed), etc. Plus Linnel plays the Accordion, I would love to play the accordion. Alas I have the musical talent of a rabid hamster. == |\_________\ | Co-Owner of ThetaSoft| | \|___ ___| | http://members.xoom.com/ThetaSoft | || | |-----------------------------------| || | "If you can't see dreams, your eyes are blind" || | -Moxy Fruvous- "Fly" \|___|ALCOTT STARR _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? When he called me to the Torah, I hugged him and whispered into his ear the last English before I became a man: "I hope I don't start to sing Fingertips." That was amazing... I loved my Bar Mitzvah. I think what hurt the show when it moved to SciFi was that the folks there wanted them to only make fun of cheesy sci-fi movies. Now while I know there's a wealth of those movies, there's also a glut of cheesy movies from other genres of film, and they did not exhaust that glut while they were on Comedy Central. Oh, and the show did lose a writer, Trace Beaulieu (sp?), the guy who voiced Cro. That probably hurt the show too. It's kind of a shame the show's been cancelled, because I'd like to see it continue for years to come, so that they can get too riffing on some of the bad movies that come out today. Date: Sat, 27 Feb 1999 15:35:21 -0500 (EST) Hi, I went to Goodnoise today and looked at the "new" mp3 albums TMBG is releasing. I'm slightly confused, why did they make 2 mp3 albums entitled 'Giants Jubilee' and 'Mightathon' which basically contained tracks off of 'Then: The Earlier Years'? For one thing, why didn't they say they were releasing a past album on mp3, 'Then: The Earlier Years', were they trying to fool people into thinking this might be something else? Oh well, I guess they're being cryptic again. Here's the goodnoise deal. Giants Jubilee and Mightathon do say that they are the extra tracks off Then, it was a bit confusing though. The new album of material They are supposed to release on GoodNoise will not be there for a month or two. The stuff there now is just their perviously released albums, which took about 2 sec. to encode an post online, the new stuff i'm sure is just going to take a bit to put together and produce. peter ------------------------------ Message-Id: <4.1.19990227154607.00939230@mail.clemson.edu> Date: Sat, 27 Feb 1999 15:46:37 -0500 From: Adam Tyner Subject: Re: Non-TMBG: The declining state of entertainment At 08:29 PM 2/27/99, OHLERT@accuwx.com wrote: > >Wait!!!!!, they gave the chihuahua a movie??? (Won't work as a theme with W'95, but you can still use the icons and wav's). Anyway, I have a copy if you (or anyone) wants it, let me know. I downloaded it from somewhere, I have no idea where. Ummm... I love Linnell, cause he's thin, dark, and handsome! He's got this atmosphere of mystery and (contempttual metaphors) for society. In the DLS vidio he looks especially good. As does he in Bird House In Your Soul with that black turtleneck on *droooooooooool* "Tight Clothes Rule, Tight Clothes Rule!" Not only do I adore him physically, but mentally also. He's a very fantastic lyrical writer. P.S, I went to rent a movie and got The Big Labowski. I also noticed that the guy holding the basketball on the back cover seemed strickingly similar to Mr. Linnell. Anyone notice this? Maybe we'll get lucky, and they'll buy the rights back from Sci-Fi dirt cheap and continue it in it's original fashion. Derek "What is everyone staring at?" Musically, I think I like Linnell better. I tend to like his songs and lyrics more than the songs by Flans. But, as a person, I think I'd definitely have to go with Flans. He's been available for autograph, shaking hands, and chatting for a great deal of the shows I've been to and Linnell was one time, and, he was safely protected behind a table. But that really sucked. Here I was, all excited that I was going to finally get a John Sid autograph, so I got in line but then these bouncer people said, well, he's only going to do up to *here*, the lady standing right ahead of me!!! So, I was a wee bit angry 'bout that. Well, my friend I was with, he begged and pleaded and finally this guy standing ahead of him agreed to get him an autograph, but not me. No, not me... Ha. So I just shot good ol' John Sid this angry look which I'm sure he didn't see.
