So sue me! Geez! Anyway, I've seen better porn in petting zoos and... no no noo..... Anyway, I really like the idea that TMBG is (or more fittingly, MIGHT BE) getting into the mainstream conciousness (somewhatnotlike) but I would like to point out that the same thing happened to Tom Hanks. One day, Tom Hanks is your average college student, the next, he's dressing up like a girly to live in a cheap apartment. And you people think the downfall of society is the fault of THE BACKSTREET SYNC DEGREE? Well, you're correct and I applaude you. But having TMBG as a 'popular' band for mainstream will never ever ever happen. I'm even talking in 'Yahoo Serious' terminology here! TMBG couldn't be flavor of the 15minute month if you filled the band with prepubescent girly looking punks that used to dance like dervishes of the whirling denomonator on THE MICKEY MOUSE CLUB. And MONO PUFF!? (syndicate?!) Whoo Hoo! You people who like their bands obscure and liked by cult levels, rest easy. You will never ever ever never see TMBOPUFFG in TIGER BEAT. If you already have, you're a cancer causing robot from Zxynlyx and you need to be loved more. As for BARENAKED LADIES, I like them, but their time on this mainstream will pass. See you next time. And if Tom Hanks jumped off of a bridge, should TMBG do that, too? I just have to say something here. Tom Hanks once was funny. But he was always in mainstream movies. We all recall that one movie titled "Moment of Birth", where the birth of Tom Hanks was declared a national holiday. I point to this as exhibit A, and then fall over backwards foaming at the mouth. There was that 'Severe Tire Damage' sign visible, too, at one point at the power plant. And Isabella Rosselini was there. But can souls use butter? Bob "You can have MY soul!" Well, I'm planning on going to the Columbus one, which is only a few minute walk from my dorm. :-) Tickets are $13.50. The concert is at the Newport Music Hall, which is right by Ohio State University, on High St. I'm not sure of the address, but it is in between 12th and 13th Avenues. If you're coming down on 71 South, get off at Hudson St (will say OSU on the sign). Then turn right onto Hudson, and go down until you run into High St. Then turn left onto High and look for signs saying you're at OSU, which will be several blocks down. The Newport will be on your left, a few blocks after you're in OSU territory. I definitely recommend going to the Columbus show! Last year when I saw them they were very good at the Newport, one of the best concerts I've seen by TMBG. I've also seen them at Bogart's in Cincy before, and if you go to Bogart's web page (www.bogarts.com) they'll have very good directions and maps for you. (I'd try my darndest to get to this concert too if the Violent Femmes weren't going to be at the Newport the same night :-). Hope I helped!
