I didn't think anyone outside of record stores used "import" to describe bootlegs. ;-) My favorite "import" would be "Video Killed The Radio Star" by the Presidents of the United States of America. It's from some show in Amsterdam, I think. Brilliant performance, although I know that band isn't too well-liked on this particular list. To rate TMBG's live material: "Dr. Spock's Backup Band" - obviously taken from an FM recording and there are several errors near the end of the CD, but all in all, a very listenable recording of a wonderful TMBG performance from '92. I'd give it a 8.5 on a scale of 1-10. "Live!! NYC" - a higher quality recording, and the first official live release. Although collectors seem to savor it (hell, I know I do), the track list leaves a little to be desired, and not all of the performances are particularly well-done (Don't Let's Start and Ana Ng are especially, uh, not great). I would give it a 7 out of 10, but Donna Donna's presence drops it down to a 6.5. "Severe Tire Damage" - I've bitched enough about this already. 5 out of 10. -Adam -- Adam, fighting the forces of crappy web sites! http://www.he-man.org/ (Masters of the Universe) http://www.daddies.org/ (Cherry Poppin' Daddies) http://www.clemson.edu/~ctyner/ (Everything else!)
