Anyway, my one-man-band, NSPS (formerly Nutra Sweet Pixie Sticks) recently released the premier CD, Returning to the Fetal Position. This month, until December 20, Nutra Stick Productions is including a special seasonal gift with all orders of Returning to the Fetal Position: "Johnny Hart sings 'Olive the Other Reindeer.'" This is Linnell singing the song based on the book by J. Otto Seibold and Vivian Walsh. The song is credited to Johnny Hart and Vivian Walsh in most cases, although the flexidisc credits the book's authors. It's on a small, one-sided flexidisc with no sleeve, although special sleeves have been made to insure shipment without damage. The CD is $13 plus $2 shipping (usually free, but the flexi is awkward to ship.) RA files from the CD are available at www.nsps.net as well as secure ordering. Supplies are limited. I don't know where anyone can buy or obtain these, so it may be a rare find. Just thought you'd all like to know while the offer is still going on. Thanks, Jeremy Mathews www.nsps.net P.S. I remember a lot of big fans on this list, and I'm not sure if I can accommodate everyone or not, so order early and make a note in the special instructions box if you want to cancel your order if the disc is no longer available. ____________________________________________________________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1 ------------------------------ From: tmbgirl@juno.com Date: Sun, 12 Dec 1999 00:27:13 -0500 Subject: TMBG: 12.12 NYC review Message-ID: <19991212.002714.-374751.0.TMBgirl@juno.com> HEy HEY! real quick here goes the review... The openers, Tugboat Annie (i think that was their name - i may be hallucinating) were awesome. They sounded like every other 1997 "alternative" band but hey, it's been so long since i've actually heard a band like that in a while that it sounded fresh and new. I felt like they'd do better opening for eve 6 or better than ezra but it was nice. Joshua the drummer is very nice too. Linnell's set was groovy and lasted about an hour. The statesmen were cool and the band organ was so much smaller than i initially had imagined. set list is as follows (i stole this from the soundboard guy): Pennsylvania 50 States South Carolina Maine Idaho North To Alaska Utah Mississippi Arkansas Oregon Iowa New Hampshire Nebraska Montana Michigan --------------- Illinois California West Virginia can i just say that my first introduction to mark donato was through the hello cd of the month club and the band "Spondee." I loved him then and i can only say that he is one of the most animated drummers i've seen in a long time. He played harmonica on one of the songs - can't remember which. I ran into sean altman at the show which was very cool... especially after having seen him play just a few days ago when he opened for moxy fruvous. uhm, anyways, i know this review sucks but hey - better than nothing right?
