CDNow don't give details but Amazon do. The Best Of CD has 10 tracks ( on the cassette). The 'Live' CD has 9 tracks (7 on the cassette). What really interested me was the live CD as most of the tracks coincide with Severe Tire Damage(STD) except one of the tracks is Dr Worm (which BTW is only on the CD). Therefore, it would appear that this live CD is not a repackaging of the STD unless it is the studio version of Dr Worm, which was on STD but STD didn't sell itself as a 'live' album so that was OK, but putting a studio version of Dr Worm on a 'Live' Cd would be very naughty IMHO. Anyone able to cast further light on this.......... Regards Richard >>> "kilper10@juno.com" 29/November/1999 12:00am >>> Hey Everybody! I have been looking through CDNOW, and apparently they have two CDs that I had no idea about. They are- Live 1999 Best Of The Early Years 1999 -both $6. What is going on? CDNOW also says that both are on backorder at shipping center A. Is Linnell's Montana single only available in a 12" vinyl record? CDNOW doesn't have a CD version. "They call me Doctor Worm." -Gary St. Louis BTW - CDNOW has been perfect with my orders. Anything backordered was just sent seperately at no extra charge. ___________________________________________________________________ Get the Internet just the way you want it. MitM will premiere on January 9th at 8:30 est, not at 7:00 as previously stated by Fox. This is a much better time slot, following The Simpsons. In fact, it is the best possible time slot for any new half-hour series to occupy on the Fox lineup. With such a great lead-in, MitM will have a much better chance of succeeding. Let's just hope that it's a good show. :) -Mike ------------------------------ Message-ID: <19991202171121.92593.qmail@hotmail.com> From: "Amy Greenlese" Subject: Re: TMBG: Malcolm In The Middle to premeire on January 9th at 8:30pm est! TWEC.COM Will Host a Live Chat with Sheryl Crow, Among Others! ALBANY, N.Y., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- TWEC.COM (http://www.twec.com), the e-commerce site of leading entertainment products retailer Trans World Entertainment Corporation (Nasdaq: TWMC) announced today its lineup of events for the week of December 6. The Radio Woodstock On Stage series continues this week with a broadcast of a taped concert starring October Project. Musicians that are scheduled to chat with The Web's Entertainment Center this week include Blondie, Tommy Lee, Natalie MacMaster, Sheryl Crow, John Linnell, and Powerman 5000. Details for each event are as follows: WEDNESDAY 12/8/99 -- At 8:00 PM EST, join The Web's Entertainment Center as we host a live chat with John Linnell, half of the eclectic pop duo They Might Be Giants. John and John Flansberg, the other half of They Might Be Giants, began playing music together in high school, but it wasn't until after they both graduated from college that the band came together. John Linnell's first solo album, State Songs, is a collection of songs honoring 15 states of the USA, and is "full of melodic delights and brimming with good cheer from a veritable American ambassador of goodwill." -- Following the chat with John Linnell, stick around for a live chat with alternative rock band Powerman 5000. The release of their 1995 independent debut album The Blood Splat Rating System earned the band a large cult following. Two years later, they released a mainstream version of the album, with the new title Mega!! Kung Fu Radio. The band's latest album, Tonight the Stars Revolt, has recently gone platinum. The chat with Powerman 5000 begins at 9:00 PM EST. ------------------------------ Message-Id: <4.2.0.58.19991202145218.00952850@mail.clemson.edu> Date: Thu, 02 Dec 1999 15:00:58 -0500 From: Adam Tyner Subject: TMBG: This thing still on? :-) I haven't gotten any messages from the tmbg-list in a while...is it still up and running, or did someone trip over a cable? :-) Anyway, I was wondering -- I noticed that "Dr. Worm" is on the BMG live CD, which only has 9 tracks. I think the answer to both is that animated shows take longer to make, and thus usually have shorter seasons. Futurama will either go on hiatus for a while so they can make more episodes, or it might just be moved to a different time slot, like Tuesdays where it was for a while. -Jay ------------------------------ Message-Id: <4.2.0.58.19991202155451.0095b930@mail.clemson.edu> Date: Thu, 02 Dec 1999 15:56:08 -0500 From: Adam Tyner Subject: TMBG: Did anyone else just stop getting mail?
