After seeing the show I do have to say that I am glad TMBg doesn't cash in a become a house band for one of the many talk shows on TV. Although they were good it just didn't do the band justice. Playing "I Can Hear You" was bit confusing at the end. I don't know if anyone else caught this but I thought it was funny the way the audience laughed when JF started to sing ICHY but after the second verse they didn't. All in all, I thought the song and graphics were great, I just wished they didn't rush it at the end Erik ------------------------------ From: Kaylum@aol.com Message-ID: <0.285d0e0f.258a54f2@aol.com> Date: Thu, 16 Dec 1999 09:45:06 EST Subject: Re: TMBG: Daily Millenium Show << After seeing the show I do have to say that I am glad TMBg doesn't cash in and become a house band for one of the many talk shows on TV. I have to agree, but what makes you think they won't do it if the right gig comes along? Btw, I didn't see the show, but I heard it said "They Might Be Giants' wardrobe provided by the Gap." ack! Not necesarily true. Notice that it changed over to the RECORDING of 'I can hear you' and then at the end it went back to the live part...so in editing they played part of how the wax disc sounded. I hope that this is an mp3 tmbg will send to us becuase I really liked the recording. the violin was a nice touch. eRiCh ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 16 Dec 1999 17:10:03 -0600 From: Laura Message-ID: <3859714B.272D326D@connectria.com> Organization: no thank you Subject: TMBG: The Daily Show Millenium Special --------------7B9DDAEABDFD56D0DC4E4353 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit did anyone see this? It's done on some kind of keyboard, i think, right before the snobby sounding guy begins to talk; around 1:07. I'm pretty sure it's from a video game, but im not entirely sure. This sample, which only lasts about 3 seconds, has been stuck in my head all day and I've been humming it in all my classes. This obviously attracted all sorts of odd glances. Unfortunately, none of my friends knew what it was. If you have the same version of New Jersey, maybe you know what im talking about...anyway, does anyone know what that sample is from?
