I broke it into interview mp3s and song mp3s. The interview mp3s are mono so that they'd be smaller, but the songs are in 128kps high-quality stereo sound for your enjoyment. After seeing episode two of "Malcolm in the Middle", I don't think the show is going to improve anytime soon (if ever.) I can definitely say that I wouldn't watch the show if it weren't for all those nice little TMBG surprises. Its not an awful show it just doesn't seem very fresh or even funny to me. Halfway through the show, I was jolted awake by Flans voice on a Barney-esqe sing-a-long. (I hope that's not what the TMBG children's album is going to sound like! ha! ha!). By the way, I don't know if you guys were joking or not but the phrase "hot cha!" did not originate from the TMBG song. -B O N G O ------------------------------ Message-ID: <20000117094321.11203.qmail@hotmail.com> From: "James Brown's Funk Foot" Subject: TMBG: John Linell on Conan O'Brien Date: Mon, 17 Jan 2000 09:43:21 GMT Hey- How long ago was John Linell on Conan promoting State Songs? I missed the show (actually I caught the last note) when it was finally on CNBC here in Germany. Bjorky BTW, this is my first European Giants sigting. It was pretty cool, and they claimed that they actually tallied the requests. They do a top 10 most requested songs every night so I guess they just kept all that information. At any rate, I knew TMBG had a few songs in the countdown, so I went to their website to see what they were. Boy was I surprised when I found 19 songs, one even in the top 10! Here's that list for those of you interested: 1962 - Sapphire Bullets 1865 - Narrow Your Eyes 1816 - Mammal 1747 - Cowtown 1725 - See the Constellation 1648 - S-E-X-X-Y 1602 - New York City (live in their studio) 1530 - Dr. Worm 1514 - Twisting 1395 - Statue Got Me High 1317 - The Guitar 1239 - Snail Shell 900 - I Palindrome I 741 - Don't Let's Start 477 - Your Racist Friend 152 - Istanbul 128 - Ana Ng 73 - Particle Man 7 - Birdhouse in Your Soul If you'd care to see the whole list, go to www.cd101.com and click on the "On the Air" section. There's hope for British radio yet! Let's face it, Bob Mills is a cool fella, "In Bed With Me Dinner" was a top tv show and the guy has taste. I want Jonathan Ross on the Radio, how shocked was I when I saw him at last year's UK TMBG shows! Not nearly as shocked as he was when I said, "Alright Jon, dude mate!". He loved it hehehe. Did anyone record/video the UK shows? If so, I'd love copies (as would other I am aware of).
