TMBG recorded the song on 5/1/98 for Y100, the day they did an interview for them and a show at the Electric Factory. I have a tape of the interview with the song somewhere.. being that this was before Malcolm in the Middle was even concieved, it seems like the Johns re-used the music for the theme song.
