To be honest, if it was anyone else besides Linnell singing it, I would probably only have listened to it once. There are a few tracks on the album that ARE really good. I wouldn't say TMBG's cover is bad, but it's definitely one of my least favorite covers they've done. Too bad they couldn't do Queen as originally intended... I only have the Rubaiyat sampler, and the Kronos cover isn't on there, unfortunately. -Adam At 04:18 PM 2/7/00 -0800, Bongo wrote: > Is "One More Parade" one of the really bad ones? If anyone can help me with either CDex or Sound Forge, I would really appreciate it. Thanks. The music during the wood chipper scene was especially cool. It didn't really have lyrics but it did have vocals by Flans. 2) There was confetti cannon reference in the above scene!!! 2) I'm beginning to suspect that all of the original TMBG music for the show is actually being done by Flans alone. Maybe its just being credited to "They Might Be Giants" like with the Coke radio spot. Notice that we haven't yet heard Linnell vocals on the music exclusive to the show. (Well, I hope my theory is wrong.) 3) Finally, we've all HEARD Flans on the show's score but did you SEE him? I did! ...but it turned out to be my imagination. Remember the scene where the neighbors come to the door to complain about the chopped down tree? There's a guy in the background that, for a moment, looks a helluva lot like Flans. He can be seen in two very brief shots. In the first shot, it doesn't look like him at all but in the second it does very much. I didn't notice the guy until the second shot and I was almost positive it was him. After the show, I slo-mo'd through the scene and saw that it wasn't him. Anyway, if you taped the show or you going to watch the Tuesday rebroadcast, check it out and tell me if I'm crazy. (At least its good for a laugh.) -B O N G O ------------------------------ End of tmbg-list Digest #26-8 *****************************
