If anyone is interested they have a service where they will email you everyday with an up to date list of TMBG items. Which is usefull as somethings are bought up the day they arrive in their stock. I've (in the past) bought LTW on CD which was good as I don't have a computer at home and or a CD Burner. Loads of their singles why does the sun shine? Back to Skull. But the only thing I can't seem to get is a video of their videos that would work on a UK player. Anyone know where there's one kicking about. AL - the sad CD collecting kid still in the corner all alone. ------------------------------ Message-ID: <20000715155124.51842.qmail@hotmail.com> From: "Nathan Mulac DeHoff" Subject: Re: TMBG: A TMBG Country Jamboree Date: Sat, 15 Jul 2000 15:51:24 GMT Bongo: > When I said that "Counterfeit Faker" was TMBG's only country song, these >songs were suggested: > >Unrelated Thing >Alienation's For the Rich >Cowtown >Lucky Ball & Chain > > I forgot about Alienation's For the Rich. I think Flansburgh has mentioned "Lucky Ball And Chain" as sounding kind of country-ish. "Cowtown" sounds a bit country-ish to me, but not the steel guitar/Garth Brooks/drunken hick in a pick-up truck kind of country. It's sort of anthem-like, really, and was probably influenced by "The Yellow Rose Of Texas," which is quoted within the song. (I can't really place the tune of "Yellow Rose" at the moment, however.) Also, you left out "Don't I Have The Right," which is quite country-ish. -- Eat your broccoli, Nathan DinnerBell@tmbg.org http://www.geocities.com/fablesto/ ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Message-ID: <20000715155309.72832.qmail@hotmail.com> From: "Matt Brown" Subject: Re: TMBG: Country/Rock Date: Sat, 15 Jul 2000 11:53:09 EDT I always thought about I Blame You as a country song. Does anyone know where I can find this song? PR Mega ------------------------------ End of tmbg-list Digest #31-16 ******************************
