(If no one gets that....I'm really old, or, at least, older than I thought.) I think it's a waste of time......It's like getting your local top40 station to play it. I mean, there's nothing wrong in trying, but to what end? Stations won't appreciate it. It'll be on then off rotation before you can blink an eye. It's better to have a copy and play it a million times than to try than to get someone else to do it. Personally, I haven't watched MTV in years....probably since before 'The Real World'. I got the impression there wasn't much to see. Although we do have a couple alt radio stations in the Twin Cities (Mpls/St. Paul, MN, for those who don't know), I haven't been listening to the radio lately. I'm sure it's getting some play there. While it might be neat to see Them on trl, I doubt it would faze the general mtv public. Just like any top40 radio, They would be on short rotation. Maybe I'm wrong. Then you can scream @ me, if it'll make you feel better. I got my fleece on the 12th, just in time for me to complain about the fact that I wouldn't be able to wear it till next year, since in Miami we only get about 72 hours of winter a year. Well ha-ha, mother nature, very funny. Thanks for making me look bad. It is now very freezing (for Miami anyway), with the wind chills in the 20s and 30s. I am happily (and sheepishly) wearing my fleece right now as we speak, (err, I mean write?), and of course now in my office the heater is apparently on full-blast so I am beginning to sweat. I shall never complain about the weather again. ------------------------------ From: "Sarah's Madness" Subject: TMBG: re: irving plaza Date: Tue, 23 Jan 2001 16:15:29 Message-ID: >So who all else is going? Kay [Attachment omitted, unknown MIME type or encoding (text/html)] I'd kill for a windchill like that. It was 9 degrees out this morning. I'd get the hell out of NY if it weren't for so many TMBG concerts. Aparantly even though it was 9 in here it was in the 40's in Alaska. Alaska for god sakes! I figured out the fleece thing for those who haven't yet. Apparently you have to go here : https://secure.emusic.com/mason/secure/subscription/promo.html to verify your shipping address. Like they didn't have it when they sent me WUFTM or when I signed up for TMBG Unlimited. Did I mention they come in assorted sizes? Indeed they do, ranging from medium or small to XXL. I'm sure this was something alot of people would have liked to know some time ago. I still haven't got a fleece and immagine I will get it on March 16, the day before I'm taking off for Florida. It's too damn cold here.
