While I don't know, I think it's quite possible that people are just being really quiet. With all that's been going on in the world recently, maybe people just don't feel like talking about TMBG. Or maybe it has nothing to do with that. Sometimes there will be a lot of posts here, followed by a few days of nothing. It might seem weird that this would be a period of nothing, what with the new album and tour, but, as I recall, there was hardly any discussion of State Songs after it was released. (The list wasn't totally quiet then, though; I think the main topic of discussion was whether or not TMBG sucked for never changing their setlist. Much more important than a new album, no?) -- May the light shine upon thee, Nathan DinnerBell@tmbg.org http://www.geocities.com/fablesto/ _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Sep 2001 12:52:52 EDT From: Furfr@aol.com Subject: Re: TMBG: Server crash again? Message-ID: <8c.cd9122c.28dccf00@aol.com> There are a couple of setlist posts up on the newsgroup. So far it's pretty much the same. I think there were only a few songs from Mink Car that you wouldn't have heard live yet. Yeh Yeh was one. Bangs was another. And I think Hopeless Bleak Dispair has made one appearance. Outer Planet mix and Even Further outer planet mix? I'm wondering because both songs use samples that are also used in an Orb song (back side of the moon) thanks jon _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Sep 2001 18:56:22 -0400 From: Leo Bicknell Subject: TMBG: Digest archives restored. Date: Fri, 21 Sep 2001 19:58:23 -0700 Message-ID: Hey everyone. I've been lurking here for a while, but I'm gonna poke my head out (just this once) and I couldn't think of a better time than tonight as I am finally going to see Them live and in concert at The Catalyst in my new hometown of Santa Cruz. (ahh, the many advantages of college life). One thing that's gonna make this even better is that I have yet to find a copy of Mink Car until today, and even that I havn't listened to yet, so (except for what I've heard off Unlimited) all the new material will be completeley new for me. Any whoo, I just wanted to say that I'm going. I might post a setlist/review thingie afterwords, but keep in mind that I have never seen them live before so if I do, expect it to be incomprehensible with many exclamation points. If you wanna say Hi I'll be the guy in a yellow "The W's" t-shirt with a blue FNL jacket on, the jacket's got both my name (james) and a "blue jay" pin on it. Feel free to refer to me as either one. happy happy, bounce bounce.. ~james leVeque~ --blue_j-- (and just in case you're wondering.. I did send something almost exactly like this to the newsgroup) ------------------------------ End of tmbg-list Digest #45-21 ******************************
