Hello! I just thought I'd introduce myself before I get into any actual TMBG disscusson. I'm a "second-hand" TMBG fan. My brother got me hooked when he bought me the CD single, Why Does the Sun Shine, when I was younger, now I am fourteen (which is probably still young compared to many of you who have been fans since the 80's). Truthfully, I'm frightened of you people! When ever I get invovled in anything TMBG related, I am rejected because of my lack of TMBG knowledge, so to speak. It's like a cult. So, expect questions from me, if I don't understand what the heck your talking about. And my first question is: Lupo's in Providence- do they allow people under 21? A few people I talked to said no, but if that's so, my brother snuck in a few times.. That wouldn't surprise me though. -Kelsey [Attachment omitted, unknown MIME type or encoding (text/html)] > Message-Id: <3.0.6.32.20011016212033.007bc4d0@fisticuffs.org> > Date: Tue, 16 Oct 2001 21:20:33 -0400 > From: Meg > Subject: Re: TMBG: an intriguing bit o' slander > > At 07:06 PM 10/16/01 -0500, Tara Weber wrote: > >Found this on a tip from my friend in Iowa City...is it just me, or does > >this guy sound like he's actually a closet fan? > > No. He sounds like he's read the press kit. Then he hides the CDs under his bed and goes around telling all his friends how brilliant Neutral Milk Hotel is. ;) And if I ever describe anything as "post-punk," I want someone to just come shoot me. --Tara From owner-tmbg-list@tmbg.org Wed Oct 17 21:03:29 2001 Received: (from majordom@localhost) by ussenterprise.ufp.org (8.11.1/8.11.1) id f9I13Tr92463 for tmbg-list-outgoing; Wed, 17 Oct 2001 21:03:29 -0400 (EDT) (envelope-from owner-tmbg-list@tmbg.org) Received: from janus.hosting4u.net (janus.hosting4u.net [209.15.2.37]) by ussenterprise.ufp.org (8.11.1/8.11.1) with SMTP id f9I13SN92455 for ; Wed, 17 Oct 2001 21:03:28 -0400 (EDT) (envelope-from girldrinkdrunk@fisticuffs.org) Received: (qmail 29672 invoked from network); 18 Oct 2001 01:03:26 -0000 Received: from neptune.hosting4u.net (HELO fisticuffs.org) (209.15.2.22) by mail-gate.hosting4u.net with SMTP; 18 Oct 2001 01:03:26 -0000 Received: from schekleton ([208.58.253.122]) by fisticuffs.org ; Wed, 17 Oct 2001 20:03:19 -0500 Message-Id: <3.0.6.32.20011017210126.00811430@fisticuffs.org> X-Sender: girldrinkdrunk@fisticuffs.org X-Mailer: QUALCOMM Windows Eudora Light Version 3.0.6 (32) Date: Wed, 17 Oct 2001 21:01:26 -0400 To: tmbg-list@tmbg.org From: mandyshekleton Subject: Re: TMBG: Well, here I am.
