Does anyone else think the Johns (probably mostly Flans) have a thing with cars? You could make a case that almost every album title (other than Apollo 18, Misc T, and the Pink Album) is somehow related to motor vehicles. Lincoln: a car manufacturer. Flood: too much fuel in the carburetor. Factory Showroom: where cars are sold. Long Tall Weekend: sounds like an old 50's car song (yeah, it's a reach...). Severe Tire Damage: cars have tires! Mink Car: duh. Am I crazy? Is this my imagination? Help me out here. Whilst I was idly staring at the snow this morning, it occured to me that I know little to nothing about the band of Dans (yes, my mind does work like that :)) Even though I've seen them live I have hardly any idea what they look like. Can anyone point me in the way of some decent pics? I've been scourering the net and I can't find any clear ones... Thanks in advance. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp. ------------------------------ From: "Nathan Mulac DeHoff" Subject: Re: TMBG: TMBG Auto-Mania Date: Sun, 24 Feb 2002 23:32:07 +0000 Message-ID: PZickler: >I'm sure this topic has been discussed before, but I haven't seen it >in the 2 years I've been on the list, so here goes. > >Does anyone else think the Johns (probably mostly Flans) have a >thing with cars? Yes, although some of your examples are awfully far-fetched. When there are such obvious examples as "AKA Driver," "Boat Of Car," the Kitten Intro, and the "wreck my car" Fingertip, why try to make a really tenuous connection to Flood or Long Tall Weekend? -- May the light shine upon thee, Nathan DinnerBell@tmbg.org http://www.geocities.com/fablesto/ _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com ------------------------------ From: "Nathan Mulac DeHoff" Subject: TMBG: Steve Bossen Date: Mon, 25 Feb 2002 00:29:58 +0000 Message-ID: Does anyone else get a message saying Steve Bossen is out of his office upon sending messages to the list, or am I just lucky in this respect? -- May the light shine upon thee, Nathan DinnerBell@tmbg.org http://www.geocities.com/fablesto/ _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com ------------------------------ From: Alterian@aol.com Message-ID: <15a.974de2a.29aae2ca@aol.com> Date: Sun, 24 Feb 2002 19:43:54 EST Subject: Re: TMBG: TMBG Auto-Mania With that same logic the John's must also be hot for famous people...I mean come on..
