He want's a shoehorn the kind with teeth

A made up thing according to the song

People should get beat up for stating their beleifs

I'm at a loss for this line. Give me time, give me time...

He wants a shoehorn, the kind with teeth
cause he knows there's no such thing.

Everyone always wants what they can't have. It's an inevitable fact.

Tour the world in a heavy metal band
But they run out of gas, the plane can never land

if a plane ran out of gas it would crash. But technically it CAN NEVER land, it will crash.

Quoth Tom Lewis <tlewis@mail.erskine.edu>:

The line:

"But they run out of gas, the plane can never land"

sounds like the punch line to a dumb joke, except the plane loses engines, not gas.

Two people are riding in a 747 from New York to L.A. About half way through, the engine makes a funny noise. Seconds later, the captian come on and announces that the plane has just lost an engine, but not to worry, the plane can fly just fine with three. It will just take a little longer to get to L.A. Instead of two more hours, it will be three hours.

About ten minutes later, the same noise occures again. Again the capitain comes on and announces the loss of an engine. The trip will now take four more hours insetead of three.

Ten minutes later, another noise and againg the capitain comes on. A third engine is out, but not to worry, it will just take five hours to get there.

Just then the one guy turns to the other and says, "I hope we don't lose another engine, this plane will NEVER land.

"People Should get beat up for statin' their beliefs"

I'd just like to point out that this line is nice and hypocritical. It shows that the narrator is saying that they doesn't like the stating of one's opinions, and yet in saying this, they are stating a belief.
