I like the Spices quite a bit but I'm not like gonna get my hair done like them or wear their dresses etc (mainly because I'm not a cross-dresser) but there are a good pile of good songs by the Spices out there. I've got a copy of SpiceWorld from one of my ex's and it kicks a certain amount of ass. It's not everybodies cup of hot-cha (hehehe) but I like it. It's the girls themselves I hate (exept Scary-Spice because she's hot). >Or is the resident Squid smoking some funny british shtuff? Not out of the question but I really think the voice is quite Emma-esque. K, maybe I'm nuts... yeah, that could well be it... Don't you think every mail-list should have a resident monster of the deep? hehehe... -- Uncle Squid - The Original Junk Male -- Http://members.xoom.com/_out_there_/mother_ship/ ICQ: 12605535 ----------------------- ------------------------------ From: CajunGram@aol.com Message-ID: Date: Fri, 25 Dec 1998 21:52:41 EST Subject: Re: TMBG: mono puff confusions? Or is the resident Squid smoking some funny british shtuff? >> Hmm.. they do kinda... I happen to be among the legions of 11 year-old-girls who like the Spice Girls. I'm not comparing them to, say the musical genius of Elvis Costello or anything, but they serve a purpose none the less. Their music is catchy, upbeat, and makes me happy. I know that soudns corny, like I'm some kind of plant from Virgin Records or something, but it's just good crazy obnoxious pop music. And it doesn't hurt that Posh Spice is quite sexy. It's something about those English accents... It's something about > those English accents... > i have a friend, George, who has the BEST Posh Spice impersonation. but i think it frightens me that it's so convincing... i keep checking to see if maybe he's pregnant... maybe he leads a double life... one day he's a tuba player in band, the next he's POSH SPICE! mwahahaha! as far as their music goes, they're just a group of nothings creating some catchy stuff. we've all liked at least one song by some no- talent group... admit it... you all know you secretly have a personal celebration of triumph when a Backstreet Boys song comes on : ) you can't hide from me... and i know at least ONE of you can't resist bursting on the inside when one of the other 210 three to five member boys singing groups happen to be playing. remember NKOTB??? huh??? you can't deny it... just remember: not everyone likes peanut butter. jen (who got her very own copy of Labyrinth (sp?) for christmas: ) ------------------------------ From: EmarZero@aol.com Message-ID: <5b04f8c2.36846228@aol.com> Date: Fri, 25 Dec 1998 23:12:24 EST Subject: TMBG: I remember now!
