That was the BIG thing I forgot to mention about the Seattle Paramount show. Dan Miller was MIA. I can't remember what Flansy said about why he couldn't be there but I was wondering if it was just one night or if Dan had quit the tour. When you shoot the target, one of 78-ish songs is supposed to play. You can even shoot the target in the middle of a song and a new one will start playing. They are actually mp3s that stream onto your computer through Flash. Like I said, there used to be a back door through which you could just download the mp3s to your computer, but you can't now. But basically, that's it. It's like calling the old-school dial-a-song,except that you can listen to any number of songs for as long as you want each time you visit, instead of just the same song every time until they change it. Oh, and you don't get Flans talking about stuff at the end. If you're looking for more than just songs, try tmbg.com. Absolutely not. But as I'm still at the office I can't tell you off hand a worse one. BTW do you know why there are no songs sung in French on that album. I always thought that one of their charms are the songs sung in French. And while we are at it do you know if Moxy Fruvous have ever played in the UK? I downloaded the downloading program getright awhile ago, and now when I click the target at dialasong.com, the getright window pops up, the song apparently downloads, but doesn't play automatically. Does that mean the getright downloading software overrides the flash streaming software? And is there anything I can do to change it back to how it was before (short of deleting getright)? It would appear you've stumbled upon the solution to our problem of not being able to get to the mp3s on the site, perhaps. When getright downloads the song, does it save it somewhere. And yes, with getright, it is possible to change the configuration so that it doesn't capture clicks in your browser. I don't remember exactly where, but it's an option in the preferences for the program. -- Matt Brown (hangdman@cc.gatech.edu) cs1321 TA Ga Tech Undergrad Philosophy Society Chairman http://thm.askee.net Society of Physics Students Member -= "Every day is a good day" - Zen Proverb =- ------------------------------ From: "*SUPER SPANGER*" Subject: TMBG: Another first kiss Date: Fri, 26 Jul 2002 14:47:40 +1000 Message-ID: Well I like both Another first kiss and first kiss so I have a question. I feel very fortunate to have seen them perform it live at my first tmbg show :) On the record, the high part is Linnell with his voice sped up, but when they did it live, Flans could sure hit those high notes! Afterwards Flans said, out of nowhere, "I do not sing like a girl!" I like to think that's when he first got the idea for that song, hehe Kay [Attachment omitted, unknown MIME type or encoding (text/html)] : Well I like both Another first kiss and first kiss so I have a question. : Was there or is there the same amount of love/hate going on with '(she was : a) hotel detective' and 'she was a hotel detective' : : I got back to skull the other day and I love it. I personally have never been able to decide whether I like Ondine or Mrs. Train more. AS for the whole Hotel Detective thing, I love the newer version tons better. My best friend does too, but then he hates the older version passionately. I would imagine most people would prefer the newer incarnation, but that's hard to say. I doubt you'll find the same love/hate thing going on with the two Detectives, since the newer one isn't a bastardization of the older one, like with the two Kisses.
