I would be Monopoly because people find me tedious, excruciating painful
and that I take up an exorbitant amount of their time. But they also find
me to be fun and enjoyable if they actually sit down to play with me.

I would be a board game, a very bored game. Something like Scrabble,
totally demanding, very frustrating and have an ability to looses all the
peices. Although I would be Scrabble, I would aspire to be promoted to the
likes of Twister, a fun(ny), physically humourous that is good to play with
when drunk. What this all says about me I really don't know (nor much care)

So I was looking over the build up of TMBG mail I've gotten and noticed
some tour dates. One being in Deleware, OH on the 26th of April. Last
weekend I was down at Ohio University for a ballroom competition and
noticed a sign outside the NEWPORT saying that THEY were playing on April
21st...a tuesday. Can anyone confirm this, or were me an my friend

Hey folks, TDK here. I just thought ya'all woudl want to know that I
just updated my sound page. Now featured are some clips from the 2/2/97
Idiot's Delight radio show, hosted by Vince Scelsa.

Pink Album Medley - A tad long, but worth the download. A medley of all
the songs from the Pink album, in order(almost). Really cool!

Flans on Space Ghost - Flans talks about his yet-to-be-aired appearance
on one of my favorite shows, Space Ghost Coast to Coast! Cool!

I Can Hear You - The first ever performance of this song outside The
Edsion Museum. Can you say Reverb? I knew you could.

On the Drag - A cool duo performance, featuring Vince on the egg! Thats
right, the EGG!

Let me know what you think. Chow!

prove it.

But yeah, they definitely need to get over to the better half of our

right, so a bunch of people on this list have now seen tmbg's new tour ...
does anyone know who's on the tour with them? the "velcro horns" still?
who's their bassist, drummer, etc?

and apparently a lot of the recent shows have been full of different
displays of "audience participation" that i've never seen in the nyc shows
i've gone to (maybe it's just because security's been too tight in the
past at big halls like the mercury lounge, irving plaza, et al?) ... but
apparently they're callin' people up from the crowd, etc etc etc..

just wanted to know what to expect when i go to the seton hall show next
month...

Firstly, I wouldn't call the Mercury Lounge a big hall, it's pretty
small. But anyway, I can't recall ever seeing anyone being called up on
stage at a TMBG show. I do know some people have been called up on
stage during Monoupff shows to do the spoken part on Distant Antenna.
But if you consider audience participation to be conga lines, and
yelling things out for the band and such, well then yes, sometimes they
do do that.

Double Dong was opening for them on 3/21. I believe Lincoln starts touring
with them on 3/27... No Velcro Horns on 3/21, but the regular line-up was
the same as it was for the STD tour.

They didn't call anyone up from the crowd on 3/21, but Flans did stick his
guitar in the audience and let people strum it for a very short while.

Neither is available in the United States or Britain. I believe that the
live album will be released in the USA in the summer of 1998. While I
hope that They will continue their trend of releasing a studio album
every other year, I have not heard any news of one being released anytime
soon.

i'm still skeptical about this flansburgh thing. i mean, maybe it's one of
the (three) guys from ben folds five impersonating flansy. basically, that
still isn't proof that this email person isn't john flansburgh. too many
people could know about the bf5 video, and it's not like directing videos
is a new thing for flansy. there is little to nothing that anyone on the
list can know that only john flansburgh would so that we could prove his
identity. given this guy's poor track record of matching up to facts we
have on flansy before, this doesn't prove much of anything. before you go
thinking that it is flans, i'd check up on a few different websites,
magazines, etc, to see how widespread this information is.

ok, this is getting annoying... how am I going to find all the list
people without some easy, unique way of identifying myself?

I want my OMLT! I at least want an update...

(I'll be there, probably wearing some nondescript clothing...)

Hey there,
Well I didn't find a ride to the Orlando show on 3/26, but I guess I
expected that from the beginning. I will be at Jannus tomorrow though.
If anyone else is there feel free to say hi, I'm relatively friendly.
I'll probably get there around 5, or some ungodly early hour. I have
really long hair, I'm about 6'4...I'll pro bably be in in a green shirt.
Take care..
