The guitar work is more savagely driving than GnR ever were, and they wouldn't have gone anywhere near interesting synth stuff like that. To me, this version has a more industrial feel. It reminds me of Rammstein or KMFDM. My $.02 worth. -Sean * --------------------------------------------- This message was sent from the CFU POP3 Web Interface. I also tweaked the color a little because the yellows looked greenish (especially noticeable on the blonde hair of the Edith Head wannabe lady.) Then I'm placing them centered and in the correct order in Quark Xpress. (Its a little more convenient for page layout than Illustrator.) There's not much I can do to sharpen the type even in Illustrator because of the way they made the PDF. (They rasterized each page including fonts.) I tried using the Photoshop "sharpen" filter but then the type looks worse. If my life depended on it, I could rubber stamp out all the type in Photoshop then re-set it all in Quark but that would take a looong time. I might even be able to turn the images into nice, clean vector art using Adobe Streamline but that would take an eternity to get right. The best thing would be for emusic,TMBG, or whoever to give me their original files so I could make the PDF the right way. The biggest problem is still going to be the disconnected page in the middle of the book. One way around it would be to make it fold-out style (like the STD notes) instead of a booklet. Anyway, the way I'm doing it will turn out decent. When I finally get around to finishing it, I might make a bunch of extra copies for anyone on the list that wants one. The whole thing had an odd feel to it. Anyone know why a video of this song was made *now*? Or is this something old we haven't previously seen? Hmm.... Actually, I just tried this myself and it doesn't really fix anything. The EPS version is also a bitmap, and I can't find an easy way to derive a vector version of it. Basically, if you want a nice, scalable, vector version of this art, someone will have to painstakingly reproduce it by hand. I wish I had that kind of time. All's not lost, though. The text by itself wouldn't take nearly as long to reproduce by hand. If no one else beats me to it in the next couple of months, I'll take a stab at this. If I improve it at all, I'll let you know.
