I was on the new restless.com website and it says that tmbg was the most downloaded artist of 2000 and then says "New Studio Album Summer of 2001!!" Well, considering that we were "definitely" supposed to get a new album in 2000 (in fact, I think they were also pretty sure about putting one out in 1999), so I would take this with a grain a salt (the part of the new album, that is, not the most downloaded artist part). -- May the light shine upon thee, Nathan DinnerBell@tmbg.org http://www.geocities.com/fablesto/ _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 15 Mar 2001 18:25:02 -0500 From: "Jon" Subject: Re: TMBG: restless Message-ID: <000a01c0ada7$29afbaa0$10450241@wall1.pa.home.com> I don't know Nate. The past promises about a new studio album coming out in 99 and 00 were both made solely by the band, no one else. Maybe that this announcement is being made by a record label which, supposedly, has signed TMBG is a sign that the record actually will come out sometime in the next six months. However, I wouldn't be surprised to find the same 7 TMBG albums sitting in my CD rack next Fall. Just hope for the best! Message-ID: the clock hands go so fast they make the wind blow.... So TMBG is out on another little mini-tour thingy... and tmbg.net plans to keep up with it! This is yet another plea to the TMBG fan community to send in any information on the upcoming shows that is possible. The most crucial piece of info we would like is a transcription of the setlist... The strength of the site is the idea that we can keep an archive of all the songs TMBG has played live, we really would like to get every setlist that happens. (web@tmbg.net) Beyond that, scans of setlists... pics from the show... reviews... are all appreciated. Anything you send in is greatly appreciated! You may not see it show up right away but trust me we love you for it. If I could come over to each and every one of your houses and kiss you all over I would... really... It is just we only really have one person working on the site (and its not me, I am CRAZY with my last year of college)... so things take some time... But hopefully next year things will start becoming more interesting. I will be graduating and will have more "free" time on my hands. I envision tmbg.net as a much more interactive experience with high multimedia content... look out for it! :) don't be terrified... So... I will be at the DC show on saturday. It will be my 29th I think... but I will be with my cousin doug who is at his FIRST SHOW! He is a TMBG virgin... about to be gangraped by a pack of Johns and Dans... I could continue with the imagery but I will spare you. Come say hi to us! I will be the one in the front of the line somewhere either playing gameboy, reading Franny and Zooey, or generally looking bored... was it the ghost of somebody who decided not to begin? I would also like to take this opportunity to pre-announce a CD I will be releasing for you guys. I have been recording all of the DAS songs in high quality (well as high as humanly possible) directly from the phone line into my computer. I know there have been some songs floating around but most are not from me, mine sound better :). Anyway, as of March there are still several songs that are unreleased although TMBG unlimited has released some. I have compiled all the 2000 DAS's and will be releasing... PODAS 2000! Yes, the continuation of the legendary PODAS projects... it fits perfectly... 72 min for all the songs from 2000 plus the wonderful Flans babbling. I still have some issues to get through before I can burn the CDs but it will definitely be done by April 1st (I have spring break in a week and will have time). I will more formally announce a way to acquire a CD from me soon. It will only cost the price of shipping and there will be many ways to pay... or I will accept trades. I just wanted to mention it here so I actually finish it (making a 50 or so track CD can be a bitch...). Also, I can't afford to be calling DAS all the time so if any of you want to drop me an email when there is a new song on that would be cool, I have a couple people giving me a headsup but I don't mind having more :) there is no answer there isn't any answer Josh -- Jish TMBG.net and the EFnet #TMBG Home Page http://www.tmbg.net/ "well the clock's heart it hangs inside its open chest with hands stretched towards the calendar hanging itself" - Bright Eyes ------------------------------ End of tmbg-list Digest #39-16 ******************************
