Take the LIRR from Penn Station to Ronkonkoma on the Ronkonkoma line. Last stop. This is where it gets sketchy. Then you have to take the bus (the horror) that goes from Ronkonkoma to the south shore. I know there is one, I've been on it, but I don't know which one. From there, you have to transfer to the bus that scoots along Sunrise. I'm sorry I can't be more specific. I had a car when I lived out there. If you go to www.sct-bus.org, it would probably provide specifics. There is also the option of taking the train to Babylon, transferring to the one that goes to Bayshore. Then taking a cab. Easier, but more expensive. Either way, give yourself a few hours. And eventhough it'll cost a few bucks and be kinda difficult, remember, it's a free TMBG show and will be savage! ~Adam ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 8 Mar 2001 22:28:25 -0800 From: Gale Mead Subject: TMBG: scruffy the cat Message-ID: OK, please forgive if this is news to no one but me... I was listening to Scruffy the Cat's song "Tiny Days" and noticed for the first time that the first verse of "Why Does the Sun Shine" is delivered in spoken-word form in the background during the "outro" of the song. So I went looking for reference to a Scruffy/TMBG connection, but maybe I'm just not looking in the right places, because I found no mention of it. Anyone here have any insights into this? Thanks Gale P.S. Lame-ass justification for downloading the song from Napster (or maybe not so lame) I used to own that album on vinyl, so I DID pay for it once upon a time. Sadly, all my records ended up in the custody of my ex, never to be seen again. -- Gale Mead * gale@eskimo.com * gale@san.rr.com h-858-581-9075 * f-858-581-9074 * c-209-482-1237 "The fastest way to succeed is to look as if you're playing by somebody else's rules, while quietly playing by your own." -Michael Konda ------------------------------ End of tmbg-list Digest #39-9 *****************************
