Out of curiosity what does gay sound like? Does a gay individual sound
different when they talk, sing, or walk down the street?

You can download Coca-Cola from Napster? This doesn't bode well for the

They probably don't HAVE titles at that point. Song titles generally don't
seem to be a high priority for the Johns (except with the State Songs, I
suppose). Most fans seem to refer to that song as "No Answer," though.

One show I went to at the Bowery Ballroom showed how the people who understand and respect the Johns handle chance encounters and after-show sightings. We were all lined up against the wall waiting for the doors to open, and strolling down the sidewalk came a man and a woman with a baby in a stroller. As they walked down the line I noticed that several people did a double-take, then smiled or raised a hand, kind of a discreet wave. The man had this bemused smile on his face, and looked a little apprehensive, and as they passed he looked very relieved to disappear around the corner unmolested. The people who recognized Linnell on the street knew enough to respect his desire to not be mobbed. Though what as big a fanophobe as Linnell was doing strolling past a horde of Giantheads is beyond me. Maybe it was therapy...
After the show, a few fans were lurking on the street when They came out the front door (maybe they knew that most of the fans were waiting to pounce out back). A few folks called out the usual "great show" comments, and a couple had humorous remarks to offer, which the Johns seemed to enjoy, and even paused for a moment to trade smart-ass remarks, an activity they seemed to enjoy much more than being bombarded with autograph requests. I personally would rather have a John respond to something I said than have their names scribbled on a piece of paper, and I think They would rather have it that way, too.
Here endeth the lesson

Since when did it become a requirement for John & John to have autograph
sessions, meet & greets, etc. for all of their adoring fans? If they guys
are rushing out of a venue, there's probably a reason for it. If they want
to make themselves available, they will. It seems a bit silly to whine
about losing respect for the group when they don't do all that is asked by
the fans.

no answer
In the moat of the castle was were the Duke of Something's wife drowned
And the eyes of her portrait seemed to follow him around
The bank foreclosed on his dungeon
When the Duke was late in paying
And now he looks at her picture he seems to hear her saying

What is it like to be alive
And she's got no answer to that
she's got no answer that she cant hear
though she may wonder, she doesn't get an answer.

framed in the diorama
is the art of the taxidermist
realistically frozen as it's pouncing with a grimace
light gleams off of the marbles in the sockets where they eyes were
and every time they twinkle it's like a question from the tiger

What is it like to be alive
and he gets no answer to that
he gets no answer
he won't know he'll always wonder
he doesn't get an answer

close the window when you hear the howling wind
its just a query, and you musn't let it in.

On the Southeast Expressway where they found the empty stroller
Being blown by the traffic through the trash along on the shoulder
was it the ghost of somebody who decided not be begin
and under the sound of car horns can't you hear the small voice asking

What is it like to be alive
and they get no answer to that
there is no answer, no one tells
there is no answer
there isn't any answer

And they get no answer to that
they get no answer they can hear
though the may wonder,
there isn't any answer.

Without a hitch. Although, there are still a couple of orders that have yet to
be consummated. You know who you are! :) And hey, if anybody else has decided
they want one, let me know. (Aw come on, you knew that was coming.)

What we ambassadors really need, first and foremost, is a flag. Every nation
has a flag, what else are we supposed to fly from our limousines' antennas and
the tops of our embassies?

I declare the TMBG National Flag Design Competition officially open. Every
citizen has the right to submit a design, and every citizen has the right to
vote for their favorite. What say ye?

Hmm, before my time. But I have to say, that's what you get for relying on a
